A Queer Circle of Friendsby Lisa Lees
a sequel to Fool for Love

A Queer Circle of Friends begins about six months after Fool for Love ends, and is a little bit edgier, though still what I call a genderqueer romance. Carys and Jami have been living together for six months. They met at a spring break arts camp in high school and fell in love. Working out what that meant, for one girl who had never willingly worn a dress and another who was intersexed, was a bit of a problem. But they did the work needed, and now are happily coupled. The outgoing one of the pair, Carys helped start a support group for queer and gender questioning young people. The death of an online member of that group sends shock waves that change Carys's and Jami's relationship, nudge Jami to change her appearance, and help convince Carys to start the gender theater troupe she's been thinking about forming. Keywords: ally, bass, bisexual, death, direct action, erotica, erotic dance, drugs, gay, genderqueer, guitar, humanism, intersex, jail, lesbian, music, online, orgasm, performance, philosophy, photography polyfidelity, pornography, priest, queer, religion, sex, spoken word, synthesizer, suicide, theater, trans, wysiwyg. Did I leave anything out? If so, watch for it in A Queer Turn of Events, the next novel in the series!
